Enjoying our new house (Week 26)

It's been four weeks since I last updated the blog and that's because we have been so busy moving in, tending to the landscape, and enjoying our new home. We often comment to each other that we can't believe this is OUR home, it's just so nice. We started moving in on week 23 and finished the weekend of week 24. Tim is still working on several minor punchlist items, such as installing shutters. We have all our most used items unpacked and items that are still boxed up are out of sight and out of mind right now. We still need to hang pictures and many of the dust catchers (ie nick knacks you set on shelves)need unpacked. Most evening we work on watering grass and planting trees, bushes, and flowers. The grass is at the point where I will mow it for the first time today and there are still some spots that will need re-seeded. Looking back on this experience, both Katie and I really enjoyed the process and would do it over if we had to. We are happy with all of our choices, including those where we choose options that went over budget.
